My first Fizz of 2010 started off on the slow side. The beginner lesson was dancing to Peggy Lee's "Fever" when I came in, so I figured I should start off on the slowish/groovy-ish side in comparison to what I'd usually play for beginners. That didn't last long, as I figured out that they seemed to respond to big band more than groovy stuff. By about 9:45, more people showed up and the room got really energetic, to the point that the crowd would take whatever I threw at them. That makes a fun night for a DJ. Here's what I played (and BPM sparkline and frequency distribution).
